Meet the Team

• The team is responsible for design, development and delivery of Cisco NFVIS (Network Function Virtualization Infrastructure Software) product which is built upon Linux KVM technologies and deployed to manage customer deployments.
• NFVIS enables customers to manage the customer’s VNF (Virtual Machines) and Container lifecycles (both Cisco and 3rd party). It is superimposed uniquely on Cisco-based servers and provisioned through Cisco orchestrators (Cisco Smart controller for VNF (VCS-CaaS)) and provisioned through cEdge, SD-WAN orchestrators
• The team has control-plane ownership of CLI/GUI with automation for the features and manages the release tools (Jenkins, Gerrit) for image creation. The organization has a high-touch model for key customer accounts to solve relevant features through the adoption of open-source KVM, containers. Roadmap includes bringing support to deploy in Cisco hybrid-cloud solution, scale enhancements, and feature additions for both system and VNF/container management.

Your Impact
You’re the Software Development Technical Lead and will lead the design, develop, and release infrastructure solutions focused on Linux-based virtualization products. You’ll collaborate with architects and software engineers from your own and other teams to build the most important technical solutions that bring agility and reliability. Your work will include automation to achieve efficiency, scalability, fault tolerance, and results. You will work across the stack and with all teams to help build real customer needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Development Experience in Linux, understanding of Kernel, virtualization technologies such as qemu, libvirt, kvm
• Expert level exposure to object-oriented programming languages like Java, Spring-boot, Junit
• Expert level experience in object-oriented programming languages like JavaScript, Angular, React
