We are seeking an experienced Professional Services Engineer (PSE) to lead the implementation and production rollout of Fortinet FortiADC replacing the existing Citrix NetScaler load balancing platform. The target design includes two data centers, with FortiADC 5000F in Active/Passive mode, supporting critical healthcare applications.

The role will also guide the customer’s first Web Application Firewall (WAF) implementation using FortiAppSec (FortiWeb Cloud) and support the integration of FortiAppSec with FortiADC, including architecture recommendations, deployment best practices, and go-live readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead deployment and production rollout of Fortinet FortiADC in a dual data center design.
• Migrate load balancing services from Citrix NetScaler to FortiADC with minimal downtime.
• Configure and optimize FortiADC 5000F in Active/Passive (HA) mode.
• Conduct design validation and implement configurations developed during ongoing PoC sessions.
• Define implementation approach, deployment plan, and runbooks for production rollout.
• Guide customer on FortiAppSec (FortiWeb Cloud) deployment, including WAF policy strategy and best practices.
• Integrate FortiAppSec with FortiADC (recommended architecture, traffic flow, inspection points).
• Support testing phases including performance, failover, application validation, and security validation.
• Provide knowledge transfer sessions, documentation, and operational handoff.

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands-on experience with Fortinet FortiADC design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
• Strong knowledge of load balancing concepts:
  • L4/L7 load balancing
  • SSL offload, SSL inspection
  • Persistence, health checks, content switching
  • GSLB (if applicable)
• Strong experience in High Availability (HA) implementations, failover testing, and DR readiness.
• Experience integrating WAF solutions with ADC/load balancers.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals: routing, VLANs, DNS, certificates, TCP/IP.

Special Skills Required (Must Have)

• FortiAppSec (FortiWeb Cloud) experience (WAF deployment and policy implementation).
• Healthcare compliance knowledge including HIPAA and healthcare environment constraints.

Nice to Have

• Exposure to healthcare applications such as EPIC and PAX.
• Prior experience with Citrix NetScaler migration to Fortinet FortiADC.
• Fortinet certifications (NSE / FCSS / equivalent).
