The Network Engineer will focus on supporting and optimizing network infrastructures with a primary emphasis on the Liongard environment. This role is responsible for cleaning up and remediating agent and inspector issues, ensuring reliable connectivity between Liongard and network devices, and maintaining familiarity with device portals such as Fortinet, SonicWall, Meraki, and others.

Key Responsibilities

Liongard Platform Support

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and remediate issues with Liongard agents and inspectors.
• Ensure accurate reporting and data collection from network devices into Liongard.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve connectivity and integration issues between Liongard and managed devices.

Device Portal Expertise

• Maintain working knowledge of portals for devices such as Fortinet, SonicWall, Meraki, Cisco, Aruba, HP, and Ubiquiti.
• Perform configuration reviews and updates via device portals as needed to support Liongard integration.
• Troubleshoot device connectivity and reporting issues.

Network Engineering Skills

• Apply advanced troubleshooting techniques for routing, switching, firewall, wireless, and VPN technologies.
• Support network configuration standards and security baselines relevant to Liongard operations.
• Document network changes, configurations, and remediation steps for audit and compliance purposes.

Service Request Fulfillment

• • Execute network service requests related to Liongard agent/inspector deployment and maintenance.
  • Validate scope, risks, and dependencies prior to execution.
  • Ensure changes are tested, documented, and transitioned cleanly to operations.

Collaboration & Documentation

• • Work closely with other technical teams to resolve cross-platform issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for network environments and Liongard integrations.

Project Management

• • Demonstrate basic project management skills, including task planning, prioritization, and progress tracking.
  • Complete assigned tasks and projects within required timeframes.
  • Communicate status updates and potential delays proactively to stakeholders.

Experience and Qualifications

• • 3+ years of experience in network engineering or supporting network management platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewall administration, wireless networking, and VPN technologies.
  • Familiarity with Liongard or similar network automation/monitoring platforms.
  • Experience with device portals for Fortinet, SonicWall, Meraki, Cisco, Aruba, HP, and Ubiquiti.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues between network devices and management platforms.
  • Experience managing tasks and projects to successful, timely completion.
