Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Project Manager will create long-term, trusting relationships with existing clients while delivering successfully on project work. The PM will own the planning, execution, management, and successful delivery of the projects to which they are assigned and will interact directly with both the client and the project team to ensure any project risks or barriers are proactively mitigated. He/she will manage stakeholders and resources to achieve all project goals within project constraints.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Serves as the lead point of contact for assigned client accounts and develops trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders and executive sponsors.
  • Understands the importance of setting boundaries and going above and beyond when there is strategic value.
  • Grows the business, always looking for and anticipating ways to bring value to secure additional business.
  • Is involved early in the sales cycle from preliminary client meetings to SOW development, pricing and margin.
  • Communicates effectively, finding the positive and keeping the client motivated.
  • Is proactive in identifying, resolving, or escalating issues that may impact the success of the project or customer relationship.
  • Ensures that all stakeholders are updated on project status, proactively identifying, resolving, or escalating issues that may impact the success of the project.
  • Monitors team performance against project baseline. Gathers estimates to complete and update schedules.
  • Ensures that resources are utilized in the most optimal way, that financial performance is maximized, and that the project’s financial goals are tracked and managed.
  • Manages project resources and hours against revenue; ensures monthly invoicing is completed.
  • Defines and manages project scope (including change requests); provides accurate estimates for new work.
  • Identifies resource requirements and assign project tasks.
  • Manages project costs to the budget (including invoicing).
  • Completes project closeout report including lessons learned.
  • Contributes to SOWs, RFPs, and proposals to support ongoing growth in the business.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • University degree in Business Administration or related field with an interest in Project Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with project management methodologies, practices, resource and financial management.
  • Proven track record of client satisfaction and business growth.
  • Has experience working collaboratively with remote team members and leveraging technologies to do so effectively.
  • Professional Project Management Certification is considered an asset.
  • Experience with Open Air or similar timesheet and finance management tool.
