The Sr. MS Teams Solutions Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise Microsoft Teams Voice and collaboration solutions. This role acts as a senior subject matter expert, providing architectural oversight and advanced troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and deploy Microsoft Teams Voice solutions including Direct Routing, Calling Plans, Operator Connect, and hybrid environments.
  • Serve as SME for Teams Voice and Unified Communications.
  • Configure and manage SBCs (AudioCodes, Ribbon, Oracle), PSTN connectivity, dial plans, and call routing.
  • Lead escalation support for complex Teams Voice issues and perform root cause analysis.
  • Plan and execute migrations from on-premises PBX or Skype for Business.
  • Develop design documentation, runbooks, and configuration guides.
  • Lead the technical components of collaboration projects, coordinating across stakeholders and vendors.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of Teams Voice, Direct Routing, and Microsoft Phone System.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and managing SBCs.
  • Deep understanding of SIP, RTP, VoIP, and PSTN.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Exchange Online.
  • PowerShell scripting for Microsoft 365 and Teams.
  • Knowledge of network fundamentals impacting voice (QoS, DNS, firewalls).
  • Experience with analytics tools such as CQD, Call Analytics, or SBC logs.
  • Familiarity with hybrid models, Teams Rooms, and 3rd-party telephony integrations.
  • Exposure to Zoom Phone, Webex Calling, or other UC platforms.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and analytical abilities.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Microsoft Certified: Teams Voice Engineer Expert preferred.
  • SBC certifications (Audio Codes, Ribbon) are a plus.
  • Extensive experience designing and deploying enterprise Microsoft Voice solutions.
